As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, preparing and ensuring the accuracy of financial records, maintaining compliance with regulations, + providing insightful financial reporting to support decision-making. The Controller will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, implementing best practices, + working closely with leadership to maintain the financial health of the company.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and cost accounting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets and long-term financial plans in partnership with operational and executive leadership.
  • Oversee and optimize accounting systems and related integrations.
  • Partner with manufacturing operations to monitor cost accounting processes, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for improved efficiency and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial, tax, and reporting requirements.
  • Support external audits and provide required documentation and analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and ensure timely customer, vendor, and payroll payments.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and support accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to provide recommendations regarding financial performance and business operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
  • Experience with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across departments.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks.
