What You Bring to the Table

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA designation is preferred)
  • Proven experience in corporate accounting, financial management, and construction industry accounting procedures
  • Strong expertise in financial analysis, annual budget preparation, and strategic planning
  • Leadership experience supervising, training, and mentoring a small team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles

About the Opportunity

The Controller's main focus is to direct and manage the overall financial operations of Seasonal Impact Contracting Ltd., providing accurate and timely financial information to the Executive Team. You will oversee the accounting and administration departments, maintaining robust internal controls, supporting HR/payroll functions, while providing strategic financial guidance across the organization.

  • Providing leadership, supervision, and mentorship to the accounting and administration teams
  • Managing daily financial operations, including journal entries, AP/AR, payroll, and monthly bank/Visa reconciliations
  • Leading the annual budgeting process and facilitating rolling TTM forecasting in alignment with company goals
  • Preparing, analyzing, and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensuring strict legal and regulatory compliance across accounting, payroll, and financial functions
  • Coordinating year-end financial statement preparation and working directly with external accounting firms
  • Collaborating with operations to optimize workflows, improve operational efficiency, and control costs
