Job description

Title: Bike Shop Sales Associate
Location: Corona Bike Shop
Reports To: Retail Sales Manager
Hours Required: Part-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Weekends Required, 25 - 30 hours per week
Compensation: $18 per hour
The Job
Located in Corona, we are a retailer of all things bike - mountain, road, e-bike, you name it. Our product offering makes for a unique work environment. Our Retail Team is the primary link between Jenson USA and our customers. You can expect an easy-going, welcoming and flexible atmosphere with good people.
Applicants for this position should have a strong interest and passion for bicycles, as well as prior sales experience inside the bicycle or lifestyle industry or expertise from a similar industry. Jenson USA maintains retail-focused operating hours; Saturday/Sunday work will be regularly scheduled.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Service:
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide advice on bike selection, sizing, and accessories.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various bicycle types, brands, and features.
  • Assist customers in test rides and help them make informed purchase decisions.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.

Inventory Management:
  • Keep track of inventory levels and assist in restocking shelves.
  • Monitor product trends and recommend adjustments to the product mix.
  • Assist in receiving and organizing new merchandise transfers from main warehouse.

Store Maintenance:
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and service area. This includes dusting, sweeping, mopping and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working order.
  • Collaborate with team members to create an inviting and customer-friendly atmosphere.

Customer Education:
  • Educate customers on proper bike maintenance and care.
  • Offer tips and advice on cycling safety and best practices.

Other:
  • Answers incoming customer inquiries through chat, email, and phone as needed.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift on feet.
  • Other duties and special projects as the business needs require.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Cycling background and passion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic arithmetic skills for cash handling.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, positive attitude
  • Tech savvy skills include Microsoft Office and POS system
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Results oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
