Job description

The HR Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of human resources operations within the organization. This role oversees employee onboarding, credentialing management, benefits administration, compliance tracking, and various operational HR processes to ensure smooth functionality and adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Employee Onboarding:
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding processes for all employees, including substitutes.
  • Facilitate enrollment processes for new hires, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

• Benefits Administration:
  • Oversee the benefits renewal process and ensure timely and efficient operations management.
  • Manage ongoing benefits-related operations, including updates, enrollments, and communication with employees.

• Compliance & Credential Management:
  • Conduct and review background checks for all employees, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Verify certifications for new employees and manage ongoing credential requirements.
  • Track and manage TB expiration compliance for employees.
  • Manage Fortune J1 teacher credentialing program and renewal process.

• Substitute Teacher Management:
  • Oversee daily and long-term substitute teacher assignments.

• Induction & Professional Development:
  • Coordinate and manage the new-hire induction program.

• Operational HR Support:
  • Gather and analyze information to support HR operations and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal employment laws.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR management experience, preferably in education or a similar setting.
  • Must have K-12 Credentialing Experience - CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION WITHOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and tools for data management and reporting.
