We are hiring at Na Na Thai! - part of the Companion Hospitality Group
Hi there, we are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our front of the house team! We are a small, family owned establishment who take pride in our work and have a good time taking service seriously.
We are open TUESDAY - SATURDAY from 12:00-8:00pm.
We want you to be a part of something special as we are the only Thai restaurant serving Bangkok street food here in the Santa Ynez Valley.To apply, please send resume and a couple time slots you have available to set up an interview. JOB SUMMARY  

The Dishwasher/Prep Cook is responsible for balancing the needs of the kitchen and service staff, as well as keeping a tidy station. They must interact with team members and management in a professional and collaborative manner. They must be effective and work in an organized manner. Based on interest and proficiency, more prep cook duties can be made available. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES  

  • Able to multitask and work well as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment 
  • Maintains a positive attitude and promote a respectful work environment
  • Comfortable and effective at taking direction 
  • Has excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Committed to cleanliness and professionalism 
  • Must demonstrate appropriate workplace behavior and treat all employees with respect 
  • Must be a team player 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Maintains an organized dish station
  • Efficiently manages alternating dish loads of plates, glassware, and silverware
  • Is able to clean cookware, as well as replenish kitchen as needed
  • Prepares food according to procedures and standards, within allowable time guidelines 
  • Ensures high food quality  
  • Safely operates and cleans all kitchen equipment
  • Conducts regular deep cleanings of the kitchen 

HEALTH & SAFETY  

  • Adheres to workplace safety procedures and sanitation skills according to Department of Health standards for hygiene and safe food handling 
  • Adheres to sanitation protocols issued by the Center for Disease Control post-COVID-19

REQUIREMENTS  

  • California Food Handler Card 
  • Must be punctual and reliable 
  • Must be available to work mornings, weekends, and holidays 

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

  • Involves standing and walking the entire shift 
  • Involves holding objects with hands 
  • Involves reaching, bending, and stooping frequently 
  • Involves lifting, moving, and carrying at least 50 pounds with frequency throughout shift LANGUAGE  
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including English and Spanish, is a plus but not required
