Summary:

The role of thePlant ITLead,is to serve as the TGS representative responsible forpartneringwithlocalPlant Managers and theirsiteleadership teamsto drive and shape demand for new requestsandto ensure day to daymanufacturing and qualityoperationsat a site level,are enabled through the continued availability ofTGS supportedtechnologiesfor theManufacturing, Plant Maintenance, Quality control and Quality engineering functions.

The roleis also accountable for ensuring that the fullportfolio of manufacturing-specific TGS workfor theplants,is delivered as plannedand budgetedandincludesensuringcorresponding projects, plans, status reports, compliance and regulatory measures, resources, etc.are in placeforthemanufacturing andrelatedDC locations.

This individual willserve asapointof escalationforthePlant Managers,their direct leadershipteam,and the plant SMEs.They will be required to collaborate with internal and externalstakeholdersto ensure thattheManufacturing functionisproactivelysupportedand isprovided with strategic thought leadershipwhen it comes to improvingand increasing the use case of technology at a site level, including Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory (digital)opportunities.

This isa great opportunityfor someone tofacilitatebuilding a strong, collaborative, trustedpartnershipbetween the Plant IT andPlant Managementteams.This role needs to bring togethertheappropriate technology,processand workplacesolutionssothey contribute to theoverallOperations (Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance, Smart Factory and Quality)agenda ofthe region.

The ideal candidate willbringacombination ofoperational understanding andstrategicthinking, havebothbusinessandtechnologyexperienceand haveexceptionalrelationship buildingskillswith asolution-oriented mindset.The Ability to influence and break down silos within an organization as well acrossorganizationsis highly valuable. Communicating complex business / technical challenges in a simplified mannerand leading by example, mentoring, and motivating others aroundthemwill be needed. The candidate should have good analytical, evaluative, judgment, decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Having strong humility, listening, creativity, and negotiation skillsis Key.

Thisposition reports directly to theTGSPlant ITSegmentLead and keeps a dotted line to the plant.

Responsibilities:

The objective of this role is toactively partner withtheplantOperationsteamstoensure theirday-to-day operational technology challengesare addressed and that theirstrategic prioritiesare understood, including definingwayson howTGS can support and advance those objectives.Primary responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Developinga deep knowledge ofthelocalManufacturingenvironment,includingthekey driver goals,short and long-termroad maps, business processes andkey personnel.

  • Establishand earnavalue-adding, strategic partner relationshipwith the Plant management team,the regional Plant IT andthe entireTGS function.

  • Partner withthePlantleadershipto plan new joint initiatives, evaluate proposals, and determine how they fit into roadmaps and priorities.

  • Partner with site management to measure benefits of TGS investments at the site,measureand communicate value realized on a periodic basis through defined and agreed metrics and supporting analysis, own SLAs and report out to site management.

  • Integrated Partnership with site leadership, TGS corporate, Info Sec and TGS managed vendors. Single focal point for site leadership.

  • Identify and define new opportunities to leverage technology and/or process re-design to advance business strategies that directly contribute to cost optimization and/or risk mitigation and compliance.

  • Lead,guideand usethelocalITteam to support the plant operationsand outsourced support staff.

  • Ensuredelivery provides the desired outcomesas well as workwithotherTGSBusiness Partners and Core Areas of Deliverytoensurethat solutions are not siloedand that they areinformed byandaligned toBD'senterpriseroadmaps.

  • Ensure projectsand initiatives aredelivered, providingconsistent and effective communicationon status,managingescalationand avoiding risk.

  • Build Knowledge and capability inManufacturingtechnologies and processes in emergingtechnologiesas well as improvements to existing investments by keeping abreast of industry trends andsubject matterexpertisein usage ofnew trends.

  • Accountable for the TGS servicesat the site and support theISC teamswhen rolling outnew solutionsto help create a long-term sustainableIT-OTecosystem.

  • Accountable for the lifecycle management of infrastructure, applications & services. Formulate a strategy forretaining,retiringand replacing local applications.

  • Serve as a continuousconnector.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree intechnology,businessorarelated field

  • 5+yearsof workingexperience ina technology function

  • Experience in multiple process and technology capabilities acrossManufacturing.

  • Experiencemanaging and leading service providers, remotely

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and project management approaches, tools, and phases

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the Medical device sectorin multiple process and technology capabilities acrossManufacturing
