2027 Internship - Operations Management (Able - Mesa, AZ)

Description

Why This Internship

As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You'll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways - working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide support to several functional areas within service, repair & overall maintenance operations activities with other functional areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the management team in controlling of production output, costs and quality.
  • Support production activities with Value Stream Leaders in the major functional areas of responsibility to meet production schedules and delivery dates in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Develop an understanding of scheduling and priority of operations to be conducted on second and third shifts.
  • Report on status of repairs and act to eliminate delays and parts shortages.
  • Work with Quality Control on the disposition of questionable inspections "squawks" and the control of recurring quality defects.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Pursuing Bachelor's degree in:

  • Aircraft Management
  • Business Management
  • Supply Chain
  • Other related field

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work in a team environment to meet department level objective

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.

Textron Aviation Inc. must comply with U.S. export control laws. If a position requires access to information controlled under U.S. regulations applicant must be eligible to meet any requirements to access controlled information.
