We are a dedicated team of individuals who leverage our technical expertise to test new products and materials, inspect goods and deliver on the highest quality standards in both development and bulk production.

We are looking for a Quality Control Senior Associate to join our QA function of the Sourcing team at Everlane. In this role, you will work with our products, factories, and internal team to identify and solve quality issues from testing to inspection. You will stay in constant daily communication with our factories and third-party partners. Additionally, you will partner closely with Production, Product Development, Technical Design, Sustainability, and Merchandising teams toย  deliver the highest quality products that adhere to our product standards and comply with applicable regulations.

This position will report to the Senior Manager of Sourcing. A candidate's background and expertise will determine which categories they will focus on.ย 

Your day-to-day:

  • Implement and execute Everlane's global inspection and testing program in partnership with factories, third-party partners, and cross-functional teamsย 
  • Communicate testing and inspection results internally and externally to key stakeholders, and partner with factories to ensure continuous improvementย ย ย 
  • Independently manage QA activities, ensuring alignment with Everlane's global quality standards.
  • Analyze new materials, test results, & risk, and provide recommendations to the cross-functional teams for finished good useย ย 
  • Manage return rate analysis and collaborate with the internal product teams on a plan to mitigate future riskย 
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve any development and bulk quality issues with urgency (i.e. workmanship, color, inspection report failures, etc.)ย 
  • Create corrective and preventive action plans while keeping internal partners informedย 
  • Track and analyze quality defect reporting, identifying themes and proposing solutionsย 
  • Management of product samples, including TOPs and final reference samplesย 
  • Define, track, evaluate, and communicate each factory's performance metrics on a regular basisย 
  • Create protocols and SOPs that keep global and internal partners informed of best practices and standardsย 
  • Manage additional projects as assigned by leadership


We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in quality assurance in textiles, apparel, and/or accessories and footwear
  • Thorough understanding of different materials, associated risk, usability in finished garment stageย 
  • Technical knowledge of AATCC and ASTM testing standards
  • Experience presenting to key stakeholders
  • Navigate ambiguous, fast-changing priorities and adjusts timelines accordingly
  • Passionate about the craftsmanship of products and sustainabilityย 
  • Interested and willing to travel both domestically and internationallyย 
  • Resourceful and entrepreneurialย 
  • Experience with Airtable and Excel analysis a plusย 
  • Added bonus if you:ย ย 
    • Have a BA/BS and/or Masters degree in Textiles Science or Textile Engineeringย ย 
    • Speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean or Italian

The Fine Print:

LA: This is a full-time role based in our Los Angeles Creative Studio located in the Arts District. We are on a hybrid schedule, with at least three days in the office per week, Tuesdays through Thursdays.

California Residents:ย  At Everlane, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The annual compensation range for this role is $67,000 - $95,000. This range is based on the Los Angeles geographic area and the actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.ย
