Job description

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in daily financial operations and monthly reporting, with a strong focus on inventory reconciliation, monthend close, and continuous process improvement. This role ensures accurate financial data across the ERP system and 3PL partners, supports internal and external reporting, and contributes to a highperforming Finance team.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead all aspects of the monthly close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review Income Statement activity and prepare supporting analyses and reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing monthly GAAP financial statements and internal management reporting packages.
  • Support annual financial statement audits.
  • Reconcile ERP inventory subledgers daily to corresponding warehouse/3PL inventory records.
  • Monitor ERP exception reports and collaborate with the Controller and IT to resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting visibility.
  • Build strong internal and external partnerships to improve crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Contribute to a team culture focused on improving reporting timelines and transparency.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, revenue cycles, and ERP data flow into the general ledger and financial statements.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze trends and prepare accurate accruals in accordance with GAAP.
  • Experience creating clear, insightful reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Cost accounting and standard costing experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to apply new perspectives to existing processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with global business partners and crossfunctional teams in a fastpaced environment.
  • Customerservice mindset and collaborative approach.
  • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a plus.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience, including public accounting; experience in apparel, consumer products, or textiles preferred.
  • Demonstrated success working in a teamoriented environment.
