Job description

What we are looking for:
The Textile Operator / Weaver sets up and operates looms to manufacture and produces products for medical and/or industrial clients. The incumbent is assigned to Industrial Weaving or Medical Weaving and typically operates either a broad loom or a shuttle loom.
Shift: 3rd: Monday-Thursday, 10:00pm-8:00am with training on 1st shift for 3 months
What you will do:
  • Draws in warp yarn according to specifications.
  • Follows procedures to install lease(s)/lease rods and knot tying warp(s) as necessary.
  • Completes all documentation requirements.
  • Manufactures various fabrics and woven products according to requirements.
  • Identifies and corrects defects.
  • Records qualitative and quantitative measurements in accordance with internal specifications
  • Makes processing adjustments to ensure quality product.
  • Accurately logs machines down time reason with use of a tablet.

Who you are:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 0-1-year related experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and management.
  • Must be able to hand off the status of jobs to overlapping shifts.
  • Ability to understand and follow the requirements of applicable work instructions and/or internal specifications.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic understanding of good manufacturing practices and working within regulated industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to get along well with others and work in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Self-starter with ability to work in a high paced environment and follow WI's and SOP's.
  • Ability to properly complete paperwork as required according to work instructions, standards, or other specifications.
