About the role:
The Temporary Seamstress/Tailor is responsible for ensuring employee uniforms meet Four Seasons' exacting standards for fit, appearance, and quality. This position also supports hotel operations through the repair and alteration of uniforms, linens, draperies, and other textiles while assisting guests with tailoring needs when required.
What you will do:
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of employee uniforms to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Measure new employees for uniforms and perform alterations to ensure a precise and professional fit.
  • Conduct uniform fittings and make adjustments as needed to achieve Four Seasons presentation standards.
  • Repair damaged uniforms and perform ongoing alterations and maintenance.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain bedspreads, drapes, linens, and other hotel textiles.
  • Create sewn items and specialty pieces for use throughout operating departments.
  • Assist guests with tailoring and sewing requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support Laundry, Valet, and Housekeeping operations during periods of high business volume or as needed.
  • Deliver completed items to guests when required.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment while adhering to Four Seasons standards and policies.

What you bring:
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
  • Previous tailoring, sewing, alterations, or garment repair experience.
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Experience working with uniforms, garments, linens, or textiles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing as a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a guest-focused approach.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds throughout the workday.
