CSR (Route Driver)

Specialty Textile Services - Phoenix, AZ 85007

Position

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for the daily operation of the route or tasks that have been assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Must demonstrate basic English, math, and reading skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities:
    • Lift repetitively and/or carry 60 pounds
    • Reach up to seven feet
    • Walk up to two miles per day
    • Bend up to 120 times per day to pick up clean and soiled linen
    • Must be able to work outside for extended periods in heat and/or cold.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must maintain a valid DOT physical.
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Must present a professional appearance and wear the assigned uniform in the manner directed every day.
  • Must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and/or nights.
  • Must maintain a high level of attention to detail in all tasks.

Primary Areas of Responsibilities

  • Delivery driving and pick-up of linen from customers.
  • Efficient routing and servicing of customers.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships in a manner conducive of insuring and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Operate a truck in a safe manner and strictly follow all company vehicle policies.
  • Utilization of all pertinent company systems and processes of paperwork and service functions.
  • Report any "at-risk" or potentially "at-risk" customers to supervisor immediately.
  • Identifying customer problems and concerns, and then resolving their complaints and objections.
  • Add on business/consistently seek opportunities for route growth.
  • Educating the customer regarding abuse and/or less and billing appropriately.
Primary Tasks
  • Ensure proper load requirements, prior to departing for the assigned route each day.
  • The delivery of all clean billed merchandise and the pick up all soiled merchandise from each customer's respective designated areas.
  • Maintaining the delivery areas within each account.
  • Clearly and securely identify each customer's soil individually.
  • Communicate with customers and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Maintaining accurate inventories by line item within each account, taking physical inventories as needed or directed.
  • The accurate completion and follow up of paperwork including:
    • Invoice adjustments.
    • COD procedures.
    • Soil tickets.
    • Trip sheets.
    • Truck inspection forms.
  • The protection of all company assets including merchandise, vehicles, information.
  • Demonstrate predictive service by anticipating customer demands and concerns by each individual need, seasonality, and volume of business.
  • Ensure the accuracy of customer invoices and deliveries daily.
  • Clearly explain credits, charges, and prices to each customer.
  • Make special deliveries to customers as required.
  • Counting soil, as required by Service Manager.
  • Returning customers merchandise as well as damaged product on a daily basis.
