ROLE OVERVIEW

The Apparel Graphics Designer for the Men's team will be a key creative force, responsible for the conceptualization, design, and execution of all graphic elements, original artwork, and print textiles across our men's apparel line. This role requires a strong blend of creative vision and technical expertise to translate current market trends, brand direction, and seasonal concepts into impactful, production-ready graphics that resonate with our target consumer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and Conceptualization:

  • Translate seasonal concepts, trend forecasts, and creative direction into original graphic designs, typography, and repeat prints suitable for apparel and accessories.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive season trend boards and color forecasts to inform design direction.
  • Expertly utilize Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create and refine high-quality graphic and textile designs.

Production and Execution:

  • Amend and modify existing artwork, including resizing, re-coloring, and adjusting color-ways to meet specific product needs and production requirements.
  • Create detailed technical packages (Tech Packs) with clear, precise specifications, including printout of designs, repeat sizes, material call-outs, color tabs, art placement, border selection, special treatments, and print techniques.
  • Ensure all designs are production-ready, considering how graphics and prints will translate across various fabrics, styles, sizes, and print method

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in Apparel Graphic and Textile Print design, preferably within the men's or fashion sector.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator, is a must.
  • Solid technical knowledge of various graphic application methods, including screen printing, digital printing, and other specialized graphic treatment techniques.
  • Strong understanding of textile construction and how graphic prints scale and translate effectively onto different fabrications, garment styles, and size ranges.

Creative & Business Acumen:

  • Keen eye for current market trends, graphic art, and youth culture, with the ability to swiftly incorporate relevant aesthetics into commercial designs.
  • Proven ability to help grow a brand through creative, market-right graphic and print execution.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of and active engagement with current social media platforms and visual trends.
