Reports To: B2B Sales Manager
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Pay: $45,000 + commission - based on experience and existing clientele
Travel Required: 50%–75% (Regional Territory)
Territory: East Coast Territory (Eastern United States)

We're looking for an experienced Regional Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. In this role, you'll partner with college and university bookstores throughout the Eastern United States, helping them improve textbook affordability, optimize inventory performance, and increase profitability.

This position combines consultative sales, territory management, and strategic account development. If you're energized by travel, relationship-building, and creating long-term partnerships, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and grow long-term relationships with college and university bookstore partners throughout your assigned territory.
  • Prospect, qualify, and acquire new campus accounts while expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve revenue and margin goals.
  • Conduct on-site campus visits and provide consultative recommendations on textbook sourcing, inventory management, buyback programs, and course material affordability initiatives.
  • Negotiate purchasing agreements, pricing strategies, and wholesale opportunities.
  • Analyze enrollment trends, course adoption data, and inventory needs to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Coordinate and support textbook buyback events and identify inventory liquidation opportunities.
  • Build collaborative partnerships with publishers, wholesalers, and other industry partners.
  • Represent the company at higher education conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and account plans.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while serving as a trusted advisor to bookstore partners.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Sales
    • Account Management
    • Higher Education
    • College Bookstore Operations
    • Educational Publishing
    • Textbook Wholesale Distribution
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a large geographic territory.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50–75% throughout the Eastern United States.
  • Valid driver's license.
