Job Summary:
Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Full Stack Web Application Developer in Herndon, VA to work on a suite of services that will supply users with tools to automate a wide range of enterprise-wide applications and data centric mission management applications. The role involves enhancing existing production applications and building new web services using Agile development methodologies, with a focus on integrating AI/ML technologies.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Fundamental understanding of analytic tools and capabilities.
โ€ข Integrating AI/ML technology into a production web application.
โ€ข Participation with iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirements.
โ€ข Designing, developing and unit testing code for a production system and demonstration capabilities.
โ€ข Developing rapid prototypes to drive out requirements and design.
โ€ข Providing demonstrations and detailed walk through of features to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
โ€ข Meeting with stakeholders, analyzing requirements, developing user stories, and translating these into software development tasks.
โ€ข Development of technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Experience in Agile team and software development methodologies.
โ€ข Minimum 4-6 years building web applications using Angular, React or JavaScript with specific examples. Java Spring framework is a plus.
โ€ข Solid understanding around UI/UX fundamentals.
โ€ข Minimum 2-4 years of work experience using a Linux Operating system.
โ€ข Minimum 2-4 years of demonstrated experience with development and deployment of applications in cloud services; such as: AWS, C2S, Azure, Oracle Cloud.
โ€ข Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated ability to design, develop, test and implement new applications based on project requirements.
โ€ข The ability to work individually as well as the ability to work in project teams. Proven ability in decomposing concepts to discrete development tasks and managing your work to a deadline.
โ€ข Familiarity of microservices up to include: docker, podman, and or containerization services.
โ€ข Minimum 3-4 years of demonstrated experience using coding language: Java, Python, JavaScript, CSharp. Python preferred. Other areas of object orientated programming will be considered.
โ€ข Candidates must have a Bachelors' Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience, or 11 years of experience without a degree.
โ€ข Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required to start.
Preferred:
โ€ข Fundamental understanding around text analytics and its applications/role/use in business intelligence/business analytics (i.e. search, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, document summarization, document categorization) whether through education or experience.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience developing proof of concepts of new technologies and evaluating the state of the art in machine learning algorithms for text analytics whether through education or experience.
โ€ข Fundamental understanding around machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow whether through education or experience is a plus.
โ€ข Fundamental understanding of data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Pandas, D3.js, ggplot, etc) whether through education or experience.
โ€ข Experience with Relational or Non-Relational data stores such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB whether through education or experience.
โ€ข Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub for documenting work a plus.
