Position Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to support a mission-focused Data Analytics Team in Herndon, VA. This role will focus on application development for tools and initiatives designed to streamline operations, automate processes, and align customer solutions with the broader digital architecture.

The selected candidate will help promote modern IT solutions, collaborate with mission and technology partners, and support the development of applications that improve data access, analytics, and operational efficiency. This role also involves working closely with customer technical interfaces to ensure future technology plans align with the customer’s overall architecture and long-term mission needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and implement new applications based on project requirements.

  • Build and maintain web applications using the Java Spring framework.

  • Develop applications within Amazon Web Services cloud environments.

  • Support extract, transform, and load processes for large raw data sets.

  • Develop web-based platforms that support search, analytics, and data discovery across large data sets.

  • Work in Linux environments, including Bash shell scripting.

  • Collaborate with mission partners and technical stakeholders to share technology, lessons learned, and best practices.

  • Ensure records management requirements are considered during early design stages of IT solutions.

  • Support modernization efforts that align applications with the customer’s digital architecture.

  • Partner with customer technical interfaces to ensure future technology planning aligns with the broader enterprise architecture.

  • Participate in proof-of-concept development, technical evaluations, and implementation of emerging technologies as needed.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with:

  • Building web applications using the Java Spring framework

  • Working in Linux environments, including Bash shell scripting

  • Developing applications in the Amazon Web Services cloud environment

  • Performing extract, transform, and load processes on large raw data sets

  • Developing web-based platforms for search or analytics on large data sets

  • Designing, developing, testing, and implementing new applications based on project requirements
