Substitute Preschool Teacher


The Child Development Center is looking for energetic, creative, and loving substitute teachers to join our teaching team. We are NAEYC accredited and a 4 Star Texas Rising Star preschool. As an established non-profit preschool, our primary focus is on children, families, and staff.


The ideal candidate should:

  • Have a love for children and the desire to make a difference in their lives
  • Have a passion for creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment that is stimulating and conducive to learning
  • Maintain a commitment to professionalism
  • Have a strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse teachers and administrators


Duties Include:

  • Collaborating with other classroom Teachers and Education Directors to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that follows the standards for National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Texas Rising Star

  • Communication with families both verbal and written
  • Actively engaged with students and participating in classroom activities at all times
  • Assist teachers as needed


Qualifications:

  • Preferred ~ 1+ years teaching experience
  • Preferred ~ CDA or Associates Degree
  • Required ~ High School Diploma or GED
  • Candidates must meet all TDFPS requirements and must pass the appropriate background check
  • Must be able to lift/carry 20+ pounds
  • General computer proficiency
