North Texas 300mm Industrial Engineering (IE) group is seeking an accomplished Industrial Systems Engineer to join our team. The hired candidate will be part of the APF Engineering group that plays a crucial part in developing system logic that drives productivity and efficiency at TI's 300mm facilities in North Texas. This particular position will be based out of the 300mm Sherman site.
The desired candidate will have previous experience transitioning to new roles quickly, effectively learning new concepts, and being self-motivated to meet objectives in a rapid paced work environment. The candidate should have a proven track record of working effectively with managers, supervisors, and engineers across different organizations to achieve business goals in a quickly changing wafer fab environment.
The ability to visualize, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the complex system interactions at an automated 300mm semiconductor wafer fabrication facility is key to being successful in this position.
Responsibilities includes:
  • Develop automated jobs to optimize lot dispatching and scheduling, material movement, and task automation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and address factory challenges.
  • Leverage background data collection and analytics in automated decision making.
  • Mastery of computer skills and software required of the role.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex engineering problems.
  • Effective time management to drive parallel projects to completion in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate impact of changes to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Participation in rotational on-call supporting 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to assess emerging technologies and software solutions relevant to industrial and systems engineering, and integrate them into our operations to stay at the forefront of industry best practices.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree
  • 3+ year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on systems in support of semiconductor manufacturing or semiconductor supply chain environments
  • Experience developing a workflow solution.
  • Experience with workflow platforms.
  • Front-end semiconductor manufacturing experience is valued.
  • Experience with Applied Materials SmartFactory software suite and/or Activity Manager for Reporting (AMR) or Automation (AMA) is a plus.
  • Experience developing dispatching and scheduling logic with Real-Time Dispatch (RTD).
  • Familiarity with Linux server environments and Git version control.
  • Experience with querying data with SQL and creating reports in platforms such as Spotfire, PowerBI, Tableau, or Excel & VBA.
  • Base understanding of complexities behind material movement using Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS).
  • Team player - must be able to work effectively across functional and cultural boundaries.
  • Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with peers during difficult and stressful situations, while negotiating and driving to solutions.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively across functional boundaries and with upper management.
  • Must be comfortable working in a clean room environment wearing cleanroom required garments.
