As a Texas Instruments (TI) Systems Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic team oriented environment with exposure to a variety of state-of-the art applications each day.
This role is focused on developing cutting edge multiphase power solutions with leading AI processor vendors and customers. Focus is on engaging with top tier customers in the AI sector early in their design cycles, supporting them with simulations, calculations, analysis of the overall system. This analysis is done in coordination with the product development engineers to ensure TI is the leading vendor for AI power.
Role is located in Austin, next to some of our biggest customers to allow for easy face-to-face engagement.
Expectations for the role include:
  • Owning design of large system solutions of controller + power stage / power module / power block
  • Running analysis of transient performance, protections, and thermals for theoretical designs
  • Tool development for making the process efficient interally and at customers
  • Coordinating deep dives and design reviews internally and with customers
  • Assisting applications team in first board bring-ups
  • Developing technical customer relationships to keep our NPDE efforts aligned with their goals

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience

Preferred qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of power electronics
  • Experience developing or working with customers developing power solutions
  • Strong customer facing skills
  • Familiarity with lab equipment
  • System level circuit modeling (SIMPLIS, SPICE, etc)
  • Ability to travel to India
  • Background in multiphase power
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key customer technologists critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
