Texas Instruments (TI) is seeking a full-time Applications Manager in Santa Clara, California to be responsible for managing the technical support staff who, in turn, support the company's sales staff and customers after product release. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for managing the technical support staff on Ethernet projects; Provides, presents and interprets design, application and service information;

  • Ensure product specifications and applications usable by a specific customer and explores the business feasibility of general marketing; 

  • Ensures the application/solution is functioning according to specifications; 

  • Establishes and maintains lines of communication with systems and design engineering on issues such as design considerations for product reliability; 

  • Manages teams that provides services to Global customer base. 

  • Manages teams that define next generation products. 

  • Responsible for managing multiple engineering teams across multiple locations.

Minimum requirements:

  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering and 5 years of experience in Applications Engineering in Semiconductor Industry with experience to include: 5 years in high-speed interface and 2 years in leading and/or managing engineering teams; OR 
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering and 7 years of experience Applications Engineering in Semiconductor Industry with experience to include: 5 years in high-speed interface and 2 years in leading and/or managing engineering teams.
  • 25% domestic and international travel required.
