Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Verification Engineer to support software testing, verification, validation, and quality assurance activities. The successful candidate will help ensure that software products meet functional, performance, reliability, and quality requirements through structured testing and analysis.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an early-career software or engineering professional looking to develop hands-on experience in software verification, automated testing, debugging, and quality engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute software verification and validation test plans.
  • Review software requirements and technical specifications to identify testable requirements.
  • Design and maintain test cases, test procedures, and verification documentation.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing.
  • Analyze test results and identify software defects, inconsistencies, and potential risks.
  • Document defects clearly and work with software development teams to support resolution.
  • Re-test software after fixes and verify that issues have been resolved.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining automated testing scripts and frameworks.
  • Monitor software quality metrics and prepare test reports.
  • Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Support continuous improvement of testing and verification processes.
  • Maintain accurate testing records and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and other technical teams.
  • Follow established engineering, quality, security, and documentation standards.
  • Perform other software verification and testing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in software testing, QA, verification, validation, or software development.
  • Understanding of software development life cycles and software testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test case design, defect tracking, and test documentation.
  • Basic programming or scripting skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineering teams.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, PyTest, JUnit, or similar testing frameworks.
  • Experience using Git or other version-control systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and software development tools.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, and web services.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum development environments.
  • Knowledge of software quality standards and verification methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications or distributed systems is a plus.
