Job description

Role: IELTS Invigilator

Reports to: Center Director

Location: Nashville, TN

Compensation: $17.00 per hour


Description:

ELS Nashville IELTS Testing Centre is seeking dependable, customer-focused, and highly professional Exams Invigilators/Proctors to join our team in delivering tests at ELS Nashville. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-orientated, and capable of working in a fast-paced testing environment. We are currently looking for candidates who are available on Saturdays. Invigilators are proctors who invigilate the test, and may also assist with checking candidate ID, checking in candidate belongings and escorting candidates to the restroom while the test is in progress. They work on test day and ensure the smooth and secure delivery of the test.


Job Duties:

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Setting up test rooms and equipment at the venue as required
  • Checking in and out test taker's personal belongings
  • Checking in test-takers using IELTS and other high-stakes testing processes
  • Administering and invigilating tests
  • Cleaning up after tests
  • Lifting and pushing/pulling bins that weigh up to 30lbs
  • Other duties as assigned


Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Awareness of and experience with high-stakes testing, including IELTS and CELPIP is an asset
  • Saturday/Sunday availability is a MUST
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, punctuality, and professionalism
  • Ability to work under examination conditions with respect for confidentiality and secure information
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Customer service experience is an asset
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a part of a team or alone as required
  • Able to accurately follow predetermined instructions
  • Reliability and punctuality are essential
  • Available to work outside of normal business hours and comfortable spending long periods of time pacing, standing, or sitting
