Job description

Position Title: Test Technician
Department: Test
Location: Santa Ana, CA
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Test Technician is responsible for performing testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical systems to verify performance and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Acceptance testing activities for one or more product lines per released procedures
• Adapts to different test levels from lower-level Assemblies (Digital, Analog and RF) to box and system level.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans from Engineering to perform routine testing, check-out and troubleshooting functions of a simple nature.
• Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment to ensure conformance with final product specifications.
• Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions down to component level.
• Conducts defined tests and collects data as assigned.
• Able to work with PCs and applications such as Windows and other related software.
• Assist with companywide tasks.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Two or more years of hands-on experience, either professional or gained through technical school/lab work, in testing and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems, with familiarity using common test equipment and tools.
• Willing to learn, on the job training opportunity.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift to 25 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to handle small components and operate equipment.
