Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic inspections using Xray generating equipment in field conditions.

  • Review routers, procedures, specifications, and work instructions for accuracy and completeness.

  • Process and evaluate parts per approved procedures to identify discontinuities beyond acceptance criteria.

  • Set up, operate, and perform process control checks on NDT equipment; document results.

  • Interpret, evaluate, and report inspection results in accordance with applicable standards.

  • Complete all required logs, data sheets, and documentation accurately and on time.

  • Maintain auditready work areas, equipment, and records.

  • Stay current on procedures, specifications, and technical requirements.

  • Provide guidance to Trainees and Level I personnel; support Level III in developing test techniques.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Current/valid IRRSP Xray certification or Californiaapproved equivalent.

  • Minimum 2,000 hours operating Xray equipment and performing radiographic inspections, radiation surveys, and radiationsafety activities.

  • Prior certification to RT Level II (DDA) in accordance with SNTTC1A (documentation required).

  • Ability to pass nearvision and colorperception tests (Visual Testing).

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings; document nonconformances accurately.

  • Experience inspecting welds using NDT methods.

  • Ability to pass General, Specific, and Practical exams within companydefined timeframes.

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs with assistance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ASME Section V.

  • Proficiency with measuring tools (comparators, micrometers, scales, calipers).

  • Experience providing OntheJob Training (OJT).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

  • Positive attitude with a desire to grow and advance.

  • Willingness to crosstrain in additional NDT methods.

  • Ability to work extended or flexible schedules with short notice.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Hourly Range: $28 to $32. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
