Job Title: Testing Center Proctor

Location: Cambridge, MA 02138

Duration : 3 Months contract



Hours: Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM (excluding university holidays)



The FAS Registrar's Office is running a testing center pilot. We are seeking qualified candidates interested in serving as a seasonal full-time testing center proctor. Proctors are responsible for observing students taking examinations and maintaining the security and integrity of the examination process.



Exam Proctor Responsibilities

โ€ข Maintains the security of all exam materials during exams.

โ€ข Communicates examination instructions and accommodations (if needed) to students in a clear and professional manner.

โ€ข Collects and accounts for all exam materials.

โ€ข Monitors students throughout exams to ensure a secure testing environment and to deter academic dishonesty.

โ€ข Circulate quietly in hallways every 5-10 minutes during exams to monitor student conduct.

โ€ข Remain in a testing room to monitor student conduct.

โ€ข Enforce time limits & maintain integrity of exam.

โ€ข Help prepare exam packets.

โ€ข Help with student check-in and check-out including wiping down exam tables during and at the end of the day.

โ€ข Performs other testing center tasks as assigned.


Requirements/Qualifications

โ€ข Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

โ€ข Ability to read and interpret written instructions and procedures and apply them.

โ€ข Ability to circulate spaces and navigate buildings with multiple rooms.
