Job description

Claims System Testing Manager


Job Summary
This management position serves as an instrumental component of delivering on Claims Technology Initiatives. Primary functions include coordinating, directing, and overseeing the entire UAT testing process, ensuring the team's efficiency, and collaborating closely with various stakeholders to guarantee product excellence. The Claims System Testing Manager will be also work closely with the Claims Product Team, QA testing vendor and IS development teams to ensure on-time, quality product releases.
Job Duties

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Claims System Analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and effective performance.
  • Test Strategy Development: Create, implement, and continuously improve test strategies, methodologies, and processes to achieve optimal test coverage and product quality.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with project managers, product owners, development teams, and other stakeholders to plan test schedules, resources, and deliverables. Ensure timely and efficient execution of testing phases within project timelines.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks in the testing process and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impacts.
  • Quality Assurance Oversight: Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect tracking. Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
  • Tool and Technology Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and implement testing tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate comprehensive reports on testing progress, issues and results. Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of testing goals, priorities, and outcomes


Qualifications

  • Bachelors Equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred
  • 4-6 years Claims Handling Required
  • 1-3 years Supervisory Preferred
  • 1-3 years Agile process experience Preferred
  • 1-3 years Experience planning, preparing for, and leading projects. Preferred
  • Advanced organizational, planning and delegation skills critical.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills necessary.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills essential.
  • Ability to work independently and build consensus within a cross departmental team.
  • Comfortable working with multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, prioritize and communicate defects and risk effectively
  • Valid Driver's License, acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles record and minimum liability insurance - Issued by State Required
  • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter - Insurance Institute of America Preferred
