This individual will oversee prime contractor engagement, active project management, and overall construction execution across a portfolio of mission-critical data center developments.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience delivering hyperscale, colocation, or other large-scale data center projects, along with a strong background in general contracting, construction operations, and high-performance project delivery environments.

This individual will have demonstrated experience managing prime contractor relationships, leading bid and commercial processes, and driving complex data center projects to completion with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, scalability, and speed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the evaluation, selection, and bid process for prime contractors across active and upcoming data center construction projects

• Oversee on-site project execution across multiple concurrent hyperscale and AI-ready data center developments, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets are achieved

• Direct internal and external project management teams while coordinating across engineering, operations, contractors, consultants, vendors, and commissioning teams

• Provide leadership across complex mission-critical MEP scopes, including critical power, cooling, controls, and associated infrastructure

• Manage end-to-end change order workflows and ensure commercial and operational alignment across stakeholders

• Monitor construction progress, resolve project risks, and provide executive-level reporting on milestones, schedule, budget, and contractor performance

• Support the transition from preconstruction into active field execution with strong operational alignment and documentation control

• Oversee commissioning, integrated systems testing, turnover, closeout, and operational readiness in coordination with internal and external teams

• Drive accountability and operational excellence across all active data center projects

ABOUT YOU

• 10+ years of construction management or general contracting experience, with significant direct data center construction experience required

• Proven experience delivering hyperscale, colocation, or other large-scale data center projects

• Demonstrated leadership across the full data center construction lifecycle, from contractor selection and mobilization through commissioning and turnover

• Strong experience overseeing prime contractors, trade partners, vendors, and consultants within complex data center environments

• Deep understanding of AIA contracts, bid management, procurement, commercial negotiations, and change order processes

• Strong understanding of mission-critical MEP infrastructure, including electrical distribution, backup power, cooling systems, controls, and commissioning

• Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent data center builds while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and delivery consistency

• Experience managing large-scale project teams and coordinating across engineering, procurement, operations, development, and construction stakeholders

• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and field management capabilities

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach toward schedule, cost, quality, safety, risk, and execution management

• Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project

Direct data center construction experience is a requirement for this position. Candidates whose backgrounds are solely within adjacent industrial or mission-critical sectors without direct data center project delivery experience will not be considered.
