PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA)

JOB OVERVIEW
Seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide restorative and rehabilitative physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team to help patients maximize independence, mobility, safety, and overall functional abilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer physical therapy treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist
• Assist with obtaining vital signs, range of motion measurements, strength testing, and other clinical data
• Coordinate with rehabilitation team members to implement individualized treatment plans
• Schedule therapy treatments, clinical visits, and related services as needed
• Deliver and document physical therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans
• Provide active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, and functional mobility interventions
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional restoration goals
• Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant License or eligibility for licensure in the applicable state
• Knowledge and experience treating adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• 1-2 years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience
• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing settings
• Experience treating adult and geriatric populations
• Experience working with medically complex patients

IDEAL CANDIDATE
