Position Overview

The HIV/STI Clinic Tester (Tester), reporting directly to the Health & Wellness Program
Manager (Manager), implements all HIV/STI clinic services (HIV/STI Testing & Risk Reduction Counseling).


This position will operate on-site at BAGLYs Downtown Boston Community Center. Evenings are required to staff drop-in HIV/STI clinic hours. Scheduling will be based on the organizations needs for HIV/STI clinic support and availability.


Duties & Responsibilities

On-Site HIV/STI Testing & Referrals to Care (CLINIC)

  • Serve as a BAGLY HIV/STI tester and phlebotomist. The BAGLY HIV/STI Clinic sees approximately 5-8 clients per week.
  • Support compliance with requirements for HIV/STI testing, including specimen collection, privacy and data tracking, and referrals.
  • Manage intake process and scheduling and communication with clients.
  • Document all risk reduction and HIV/STI appointments in ELMS and Apricot to ensure all services provided are accounted for.
  • Provide affirming and culturally competent care and referral services as needed.


Qualifications

  • Highly relevant content knowledge, such as health education, HIV/STI testing.
  • Phlebotomy certification required.
  • Experience with documentation and data entry.
  • Experience providing HIV and/or STI testing and counseling.
  • Comfort supporting youth and young adults with learning about and navigating decision-making around HIV/STI care and testing.
  • Experience supporting youth and young adults experiencing complex challenges, including providing supportive referrals.


Hourly Pay Range

$25-$35


The starting salary will be determined based on how many qualifications are demonstrated.
