Job Description

We are seeking a Test and Validation Manager to lead the end-to-end validation and readiness of our Retail IoT products before customer pilot, deployment, and scale-up. In this role, you will lead and coach the Test & Validation team while partnering with globally distributed R&D teams across hardware, firmware, software, cloud, connectivity, manufacturing and field operations to ensure products are integrated, reliable, and ready for real-world customer environments.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Test & Validation team, building technical capability, system-level thinking, ownership, and accountability.
  • End-to-End Validation: Own product validation across hardware, firmware, software, cloud, connectivity, and customer workflows.
  • Validation Strategy: Partner with global R&D teams to define validation plans, test coverage, integration checkpoints, performance targets, and release criteria.
  • System Integration Testing: Ensure complete system testing across device onboarding, telemetry, connectivity, data flow, performance, customer workflows, regression, and recovery scenarios.
  • Performance & Reliability: Monitor and evaluate product performance against defined quality, reliability, and business-critical metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshooting & Risk Management: Identify integration gaps, dependencies, and failure modes early and drive structured root-cause analysis across R&D, Product, Manufacturing, Field, and customer-facing teams.
  • Readiness Reporting: Own validation dashboards and executive reports showing test progress, critical defects, performance trends, open risks, and launch readiness.
  • Launch Readiness: Lead final validation reviews and provide Go / Conditional Go / No-Go recommendations for pilot, deployment, and scale readiness.
Qualifications

Qualifications we’re looking for.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in product validation, systems engineering, integration testing, quality engineering, or product development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and complex cross-functional validation programs.

Skills:

  • Experience validating complex connected products
  • Strong understanding of system-level integration, reliability, regression, performance, and field validation.
  • Experience defining validation strategies, test plans, release criteria, and measurable acceptance metrics.
  • Embedded Systems Testing: Experience validating embedded systems, including hardware–firmware integration, device functionality, interfaces, and system-level performance.
  • Test Automation: Experience developing and implementing automated testing frameworks to improve test coverage, repeatability, efficiency, and regression testing
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across multidisciplinary systems.
  • Experience with product KPIs, validation dashboards, defect trends, and data-driven readiness decisions.
  • Experience with IoT, edge devices, computer vision, retail technology, or large-scale connected-device deployments is highly desirable.

Abilities:

  • Ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop engineers while setting clear priorities and accountability.
  • Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear product and business risk recommendations.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building or scaling test automation and continuous validation frameworks.
  • Experience with embedded/IoT systems, cloud platforms, networking, telemetry, and OTA workflows.
