Job description

Starting Wage: $60,603.38 annual salary
The Security Supervisor is responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing all security issues on tribal property, ensuring the safety and well-being of all tribal members, guests, and Team Members, and protecting Three Rivers Casino assets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervises the Security Team Members working alongside the Leadership Team, observing interactions, resolving concerns, and ensuring the completion of tasks.
  • Trains and develops the Team, making recommendations to Management regarding additional training needs, evaluations, and corrective actions.
  • Covers shifts for Team Members due to PTO, staff shortages, or vacations, performing Security job duties as needed.
  • Prepares schedules and delegates work for the Team, considering workload due to holidays, special events, etc.
  • Conducts meetings with the team Quarterly for feedback, monthly for development, and weekly for one-on-ones with leaders.
  • Communicates with Team Members to resolve personnel problems and discuss solutions
  • Prepares Team Members' paperwork, work schedules, and payroll information and submits them for review in a timely manner.
  • Resolves or refers to Management all guest concerns, complaints, or suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior service.
  • Ensures the Manager on Duty is informed of all matters affecting the company, department, or personnel in a timely manner.
  • Monitors compliance with all Security regulatory policies and procedures, MICS, Gaming Regulations, and requirements, reporting any issues to management timely.
  • Participates in all assigned security operations, which may rotate on a daily basis, including special events.
  • Provides personal protection to Tribal Members, Team Members, and guests and ensures the protection of Three Rivers Casino assets and those assets of other Tribal properties as applicable.
  • Monitors all activities for unauthorized removal of property.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate handling and completion of processes regarding accidents and injuries, administration of first-aid, and detailed reports.
  • Enforces all Tribal, City, County, State, and Federal Laws and Ordinances as applicable.
  • Administers workplace alcohol and drug tests as needed.
  • Supports all department Supervisors, acting as supervisors in their absence.
  • Administers service recovery processes as necessary to win back guests who experience service or product challenges during their visit.
  • Authorizes complimentary guest services as defined by policies and procedures.
  • Projects a well-groomed and professional appearance, entering each conversation with a helpful and positive attitude.
  • Communicates clear expectations for team members on behavior, tasks, and performance in line with our service commitments.
  • In the absence of a MOD, witnesses and authorizes signatures for slot jackpot payments as per department processes and procedures while monitoring and enforcing all policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods. This position is determined to have a potential for possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY
  • The minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have 2 years combined experience in Security, First Responder, Law Enforcement, Corrections, or Military, with Casino Security experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • General understanding of computer programs, including all Windows applications required.
  • Must obtain and maintain current BLS, CPR and First Aid, and EMR or EMT certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Must obtain Defensive Tactics certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.
  • Have the ability to work unsupervised and multitask within time constraints.
  • Ability to independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
  • Must obtain and maintain proper certification to administer alcohol & drug tests.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing, or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random, and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the department's needs and for special casino events.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must exchange information efficiently using an earpiece on a multichannel radio.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 10 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend, and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
