Job Summary:
Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is a company focused on providing quality assurance solutions, and they are seeking a QA/Test Manager. The role involves overseeing QA and testing activities, managing user acceptance testing, and ensuring effective communication between IT and business users.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Perform highly advanced managerial tasks related to QA and testing activities as well as analysis and testing tasks related to software development and configuration.
โ€ข Responsible for activities during all phases of the system development life cycle including analyzing, diagnosing and resolving reported software problems and troubleshooting system issues for internal and external clients.
โ€ข Define and review the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy specific to TDLR modernization projects (guidance to team during 'Soft UAT' as well) and align resources and Subject Matter Experts (SME) for all review and testing activities.
โ€ข Coordinate sprint review feedback with Vendor staff and business SMEs.
โ€ข Review of Test Cases received from Vendor with SMEs and suggest edits.
โ€ข Work with business users and SMEs to create and update test cases, perform testing, and provide test results/reports (i.e. success/pass, defects, issues/concerns, etc.).
โ€ข Act as the main point of contact between IT Division, business users, and Vendor.
โ€ข Lead triage efforts and the tracking, prioritizing, and managing of defects.
โ€ข Review defects for themes, conduct root cause analysis, and suggest improvements.
โ€ข Provide and review weekly updates on UAT progress and results.
โ€ข Provide testing-related project status updates, progress on defects, and check progress on requirement traceability and coverage.
โ€ข Ensure UAT exit criteria are met and obtain final sign-off from the business.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Oversee user acceptance, performance, accessibility, interface, security, and data conversion testing
โ€ข Manage, perform, monitor, and report on test activities on modern technology platforms
โ€ข Review, update and create test strategy, suites, and cases
โ€ข Document and report test results, data conversion and integration issues/concerns, and problem incident reports (PIRs)/defects statuses (PIRs)/defect status
โ€ข Provide training and mentoring of testing team members
โ€ข Coordinate scheduling of testing staff, test activities, and meetings
โ€ข Experience with test tools such as Jira, TestSavvy, JUnit, Selenium, Microfocus UFT, SQL, etc.
โ€ข Experience and understanding of the full software life cycle with specific emphasis on the testing discipline. Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
โ€ข Excellent leadership, communication, organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
โ€ข Experience with Performance monitoring tools such as JProfiler, JMeter, etc.
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with Salesforce
โ€ข Experience working directly with a Texas state agency as an employee or contractor in a QA Test Manager role
