Job description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Kitchen Supervisor to join our Ada Senior Center team located at the Ada Senior Center working .
Summary:
Oversees the overall operations for the kitchen area of the senior center. Purchases food and stock, and makes sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques. Ensures that the Chickasaw Nation standards are upheld: the food looks good and is cooked properly, the proportions are correct, and it is cooked and served quickly. Makes sure the kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule, food is disposed of properly and the kitchen meets all sanitary standards.
Responsibilities:
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
- Maintains and promotes professionalism
- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
* Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
* Mentors, coaches, develops and assists in training in assigned area
* Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development
* Coordinates tasks so that elder meal obligations are fulfilled
* Cooks, prepares, assembles and plates all food in a tasteful and timely manner
* Monitors food use and prepares food as needed
* May require to be cross trained in multiple areas as assigned
* Works at a fast and efficient pace, ensuring that customer needs are met with a courteous demeanor
* Follows prescribed menus and recipes
* Presents new recipes to leadership based on industry trends, holiday options, and dietary restrictions
* Utilizes commercial equipment to assist with preparation of foods; cleaning and sanitizing appropriately
* Assigns and coordinates tasks so daily work is accomplished in a timely, competent fashion according to facility and department policies and procedures
* Trains kitchen employees as assigned & within specified time frames to quality standards, with attention to sanitation guidelines
* Monitors and improves work performance of assigned teams as a whole and as individuals
* Makes recommendations for change (improvement) to the higher level management
* Ensures food is ready and served at posted times
* Serves neat & attractive meals
* Completes required paperwork in a timely manner
* Ensures appropriate temperature, labeling and storage of food and food products to avoid contamination and ensure quality
* Performs all other duties as assigned
