Do you enjoy leading complex vendor relationships and specialist teams through change? Are you ready to shape exam delivery for one of the world's most recognised professional credentialing programmes?
CFA Institute is hiring a Head, Global Exam Management to lead the strategy, governance and administration of examinations across our Education portfolio. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring our exams are delivered consistently, securely, reliably and fairly across a global testing network. In this role you will oversee global exam delivery, vendor governance, candidate-facing policy, security, grading logistics and results reporting. You will also play a key role in a major test-vendor RFP and sit on the Education Leadership Team, contributing to the future direction of the CFA Program as professional learning evolves in response to skills-based education, AI and changing candidate expectations.
What You'll Do
  • Lead global exam management across delivery, security, candidate policy, grading logistics and results reporting.
  • Oversee strategic testing-vendor relationships, including performance governance, service delivery, escalation management, KPIs and SLAs.
  • Ensure examinations are delivered consistently, securely, reliably and fairly across global markets and test-centre networks.
  • Lead a sizeable specialist team and strengthen ways of working across Education, Operations, Legal, Customer Service, Risk and other partners.
  • Review and evolve testing policies to support fairness, accessibility and candidate experience while safeguarding exam integrity.
  • Contribute to major strategic initiatives, including the upcoming test-vendor RFP and broader Education priorities.
  • Represent Exam Management on the Education Leadership Team, helping shape direction for the CFA Program and wider Education portfolio.

What We're Looking For
  • Senior leadership experience in testing, assessment, credentialing, certification or a closely related exam-delivery environment.
  • Clear evidence of leading complex exam, assessment or service-delivery logistics at scale.
  • Experience managing major external vendors or partners, including performance oversight, governance, escalation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong people leadership experience, ideally leading sizeable specialist teams through change.
  • Ability to balance operational rigour, exam security, candidate experience, fairness, accessibility and risk.
  • Strong judgement, detail orientation and emotional intelligence, with the ability to influence cultural change across a specialist function.
  • Experience working across complex stakeholder groups, potentially including regulators, professional bodies, vendors, internal leadership teams and global operational partners.
  • Finance industry experience is helpful but not required; relevant testing or credentialing experience from other sectors is welcome.

Why Join Us
  • Lead exam management for one of the largest and most global professional credentialing programmes in the world.
  • Shape a mature, high-profile programme at a point of continued evolution in testing, skills-based learning and AI-enabled change.
  • Sit on the Education Leadership Team and influence broader Education strategy.
  • Play a meaningful role in a major vendor RFP and future exam delivery model.
  • Lead a specialist global function with real scope to modernise ways of working, policy, candidate experience and cross-functional engagement.
  • Build on a role with genuine progression potential, including broader strategic leadership opportunities over time.
