Venteon is currently seeking a Production and Product Industrializing Engineer to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Mt. Pleasant, IA
Requirements of the Production and Product Industrializing Engineer
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering: Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing environment supporting product introductions, equipment installation, and production/process support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Troubleshooting manufacturing processes
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
  • Good MS Office skills and other engineering software

Responsibilities of the Production and Product Industrializing Engineer
  • Manages new product introduction and production support engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to in-house or outsourced production. Interfaces with design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems.
  • Develops and sustains process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields. Coordinate and control all production activities in order to meet budget and production targets (e.g. maximize quality and capacity utilization, reduce cost and lead time). Furthermore, the Head of Production initiates and implements action plans for the continuous improvement of all production-relevant processes.
  • Lead and coordinate all plant/operations production activities, ensuring daily and monthly production targets are met, strategies are implemented, and customer expectations are fulfilled.
  • Plan and manage production processes, equipment, and employee resources in line with capacity, demand, and standards, collaborating closely with maintenance, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain functions.
  • Oversee financial performance of production, including budget execution, timely reporting to controlling, and achievement of financial goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, quality enhancement, and loss reduction, ensuring compliance with ESH and operational standards.
  • Manage production data acquisition, in-process and final quality control, and cross-functional projects.
  • Lead, train, and develop production staff, ensuring the availability of qualified employees and continuous skill development in collaboration with HR.
