Job description

Test Automation Engineer
They need to be local to Boston, MA or near Boston to work 3x per week onsite and the 2nd interview will be onsite
It will be at least a 12 month contract.
Python is key for this
This person must use Python and have experience building the framework from scratch as architecture knowledge. This person will be the only Test Automation Engineer on the team
seeking a Test Automation Engineer (TAE) to work with a Squad to practice the craft of testing in both a manual and automated fashion.
This role will contribute to a strategic initiative of building standardized test automation frameworks for each type of application (ETL, API, backend, frontend, etc.) This role will closely partner with the Test Automation Working Group and will be responsible for creating and maintaining code for the squad. The test automation code created will be based off best practices established and shared by other squads for consistency of patterns, styles and quality of developed code. Scaling test coverage in a consistent manner across squads will assist in modernizing our tech stack and create a quality system that provides significant value to our business end-users.

Proficiency in Python (familiarity with Pytest is preferred)
Responsibilities:
• Participate in various test practices including but not limited to test incident and defect management, manual testing and test automation
• Create and maintain manual and automated tests within the squad that align with organization level and domain level test specifications
• Write code and review others' code, contributing to automated test frameworks, and adding tests to those frameworks for your squad's applications
• Contribute to internal guidelines, standards and policies related to the development and test process
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand, design and implement tests on test objects within the scope of the squad
• Establish a working knowledge of technical and business domain within the scope of the squad
• Support the release process
• Must have experience utilizing various test design techniques that contribute to testing data quality
• Experience working on web-based applications and/or ETL technologies
• Use of version control to track changes to software test code
