Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking a Software Test Automation Engineer in Hazelwood, MO for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program continues to grow and expand as a relevant deterrent against adversaries across the globe and is employed by multiple military organizations. This program is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future.
The successful candidate for the role of Software Test Automation Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the Tomahawk program, while adhering to strict government regulations. You will have the opportunity to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, enhancing and optimizing software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Additionally, you will debug and resolve issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute automated frontend and backend tests in a .Net Framework and .Net 8/10 environment
  • Create test automation plans based on program requirements
  • Execute manual exploratory testing as needed; identify opportunities for automation
  • Collaborate with product management and developers to establish comprehensive test scenarios
  • Document identified defects in bug tracking system and validate implemented fixes
  • Track test automation metrics (defect density, open defects, time to resolution, etc.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Ability to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications
  • 1+ year(s) of test automation experience
  • Proficiency with modern scripting or programming language(s) (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, .Net etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification or better (unless bachelor's degree earned in one of the following concentrations: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering)
  • 2+ years of test automation experience
  • Experience with Ranorex or similar frontend testing tools
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, SonarQube, Ranorex, Fortify, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Experience with the .Net ecosystem and C#
