What to Expect

As a Material Handler, you will be trained to drive productivity on the production line and in Tesla Warehouses for the building of Tesla's vehicles and energy products. If you have a strong work ethic, are reliable and value teamwork in a safety-focused environment we want to hear from you. Tesla will provide forklift training & certification.

A/C Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday;06:00AM-06:0PM or 06:00PM-06:00AM

B/D Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday;06:00AM-06:0PM or 06:00PM-06:00AM

What You'll Do
  • Locate, acquire and deliver parts to the production line and prepare shipments for offsite locations
  • Stock and organize inventory
  • Operate safety sensitive and heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks, flatbed carts, and more
  • Load and unload material onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, pallets, conveyor system carts, balers, and/or load gratings
  • Assemble crates and containers, and prepare materials for transport by palletizing, wrapping, loading, and moving
  • Report accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions, andequipment damages or repairs neededto Supervisor or area lead
  • Maintains exemplary attendance and punctuality to scheduled shifts
What You'll Bring
  • Previous material handling experience within a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or comparable environment preferred but not required
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to new work environments
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Open to scheduleflexibility thatwill allow for a variety of shifts, including days, nights,overnight, and/or weekends as neededas well as potential overtime
  • Comfortable driving and operating safety sensitive and heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks and flatbed carts
  • Successful completion of the hands-on forklift certification during new hire training and maintaining certification throughout employment
  • Ability to maintain a safe and collaborative work environment
Essential Physical Demands:
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work and repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for up to 12 hours/day over varied and uneven terrain and climbing on and off a forklift using a 3-point grasp and an 11'' step
  • Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs. and climb a 10" step and back down
  • The ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift andreach to install vehicle partsof varying size and weight overhead, accurately andin allotted timeframes
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch,twistand crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, andhearing
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and manipulate tooling and mechanically fasten bolts within required cycle time, quickly and accurately during new hire training and maintaining ability throughout employment
  • Exposuresto hazardous materials used in the painting process and ability to follow waste handling/disposal procedures
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limitedto:safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps,hearing protection, full-face respirators, gloves,and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
