New River Veterinary Specialists is Opening a New Location in Pooler, GA – Exciting Opportunities Await!

Overview

New River Veterinary Specialists is expanding and is actively seeking to add Emergency Veterinarians to our growing team. As we open our new location in Pooler, GA, we are excited to offer incredible opportunities for the right candidate to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our hospital.

Our sister hospital opened in June 2022 in Hardeeville, SC and has grown rapidly thanks to a collaborative, team-based approach to patient care, as well as a supportive community. Now, with our expansion into Pooler, we are looking for clinicians who enjoy working closely with other specialists and emergency doctors and are eager to contribute to a positive, supportive culture. We are a privately owned VECCS Level 1 trauma center along with having 7 days a week in hospital Neurology and Critical Care coverage.

The NRVS team currently includes 2 Internist, 2 Criticalists, 2 Surgeons (one boarded in Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine), 2 Neurologists, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, part time Cardiology, 12 Emergency doctors (and growing), a VTS-ECC, a VTS in Neurology, and an amazing team of technicians, assistants & CSR's.

  • 16-slice helical CT and 1.5-Tesla MRI
  • Fluoroscopy and interventional radiology suite
  • Multiple ultrasound units
  • In-house blood bank and component therapy
  • Arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and minimally invasive surgery capabilities
  • Full-service sports medicine and rehabilitation department
  • Dedicated intensive care unit with long-term mechanical ventilation
  • Ability to perform interventional urology complete with a Holmium laser
