Job Summary:
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Sr Software Engineer with expertise in server-side and backend development to join their high-performing team. The role involves building scalable software systems that power the manufacturing of innovative products and leading end-to-end projects from requirements gathering to production deployment.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code that addresses real-world challenges
• Developing new features for business requirements in applications used in our factories globally
• Checking with the product team to ensure all business requirements are captured thoroughly
• Lead end-to-end projects, from gathering requirements and architectural design through implementation, testing, and production deployment
Qualifications:
Required:
• Expertise in server-side and backend development
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with technical feedback
• Familiarity with coding languages such as Go, Python or Java
• Understanding about database technologies such as MySQL and Postgres
• Understanding of message brokers such as Kafka
• Very strong understanding of backend development fundamentals, including SQL databases, networking, and security
• Proficiency in rigorous software development practices, including version control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging
