Job description

Job Summary:
Tesla is seeking a Sensing Software Engineer to join their Sensing Software Team, focusing on the development of computer vision algorithms. The role involves collaboration with hardware and firmware engineers to create integrated features and requires proficiency in programming and machine learning.
Responsibilities:
• Development of new computer vision algorithms for sensing applications
• Write python and C++ code to develop algorithms, analyze data and generate visualizations
• Work with hardware engineers and firmware engineers to develop efficient, and tightly integrated features
• Contribute to production level software on Tesla platforms to enable various features
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering program such as Computer Science or Engineering, or other majors with strong relevant experiences such as ADAS, Robotics, Signal Processing etc. or equivalent experience
• Strong python programming skills, familiarity with pyTorch; proficient with C++ programming and have experiences of large C++ projects
• Familiarity with classical machine learning algorithms; familiarity with state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms including CNN, Transformers etc.
• Prior experiences with computer vision related real world projects; experiences with training and deployment of deep neural networks
• Demonstration of good understanding of software fundamentals including software design, algorithm development, data structures, code modularity, and maintainability
• Strong fundamentals, critical thinking, results-driven, product-oriented mindset, self-driven, good communication skills and great learning capabilities
Preferred:
• Experience with state-of-the-art models, such as detection models, depth models, human mesh models etc.
• Hands-on experience with developing an integrated system of hardware and software
