Territory Manager

Saf-Gard Safety Shoe, celebrating over 40 years in business, develops and implements safety footwear programs for industrial, government, and service organizations.

We are committed to providing exceptional service, quality products, and the latest technologies to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a dynamic sales professional who understands customer service and takes personal satisfaction in helping customers succeed.

This position will cover the NYC and Long Island territory. As a Territory Manager, you will develop and deliver sales presentations and customized safety footwear solutions, provide exceptional sales and service support, and maintain and grow relationships with existing customers while actively pursuing new business opportunities.

The Territory Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across all Saf-Gard business channels, including retail stores, mobile shoe programs, and mail-order services. This role will work closely with customers to identify opportunities, increase program participation, and coordinate mobile shoe events. The Territory Manager is responsible for booking and managing mobile shoe events for assigned accounts and ensuring customers receive the highest level of service across all sales channels.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular customer visits to maintain relationships and identify growth opportunities
  • Manage retention efforts to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Prospecting
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized customer solutions
  • Schedule shoe mobile visits
  • Work with customer contacts to maximize employee participation
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity within the Sales Force and NAV
Requirements
  • College degree preferred; equivalent sales experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Proven ability to prospect for new business, conduct sales presentations, negotiate opportunities, and close sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to support customers and grow existing accounts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple lines of business, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain detailed records.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule mobile shoe events for customers throughout the territory.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the territory, including overnight travel as needed.
