Terra State Group is searching for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a remote capacity, providing essential support and therapy services to children and adolescents within a school setting. As a fully remote position, this role offers flexibility in work hours while allowing LCSWs to engage with clients through virtual therapies. Our remote outpatient mental health clinic is equipped with cutting-edge technology, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among our practitioners. LCSWs will work closely with educational institutions, promoting a nurturing environment that supports academic and emotional development.

In your capacity as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will take on key responsibilities including:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments and determining effective, individualized treatment plans rooted in evidence-based practices.

• Administering a diverse range of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to the unique needs of students.

• Documenting clinical interactions and treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure transparency and accountability.

• Collaborating with a robust team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and educational staff, working towards comprehensive care integration to enhance student well-being.

• Participating in case consultations and peer review meetings to discuss treatment strategies and improve service delivery quality.

• Providing education on mental health topics and available resources to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions.

• Staying abreast of the latest research and clinical practices and using this knowledge to enhance therapeutic offerings.

The LCSW will primarily engage with a diverse student population in various school environments, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related concerns. Your work will directly affect their academic performance and social-emotional development, making a profound impact on their overall quality of life.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification issued by the state of Virginia.

• At least three years of clinical experience providing psychotherapy services in a mental health or educational setting.

• Strong knowledge of solution-focused therapeutic techniques and best practices in mental health.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and colleagues.

• Strong ability to analyze situations critically and employ problem-solving skills in dynamic environments.

• A willingness to work collaboratively, contributing positively to a team-oriented culture.

While not mandatory, experience working in educational settings or with school-age populations, along with familiarity with school-based mental health interventions, will be advantageous in this role. Knowledge of local community resources that support mental health initiatives will also enhance the effectiveness of the position.
