Overview:
The Terminal Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of an emulsion terminal in support of the goals and performance standards of Blacklidge Emulsions, Inc. This position is based at a partnership location and requires close coordination with both Blacklidge leadership and host facility representatives to ensure alignment, efficiency, and operational success. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, the Terminal Manager maintains full operational control while fostering a collaborative working relationship within the partner environment. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and accountability, with responsibility for administrative reporting, personnel leadership, product quality, and environmental and regulatory compliance. The Terminal Manager also oversees terminal reliability through troubleshooting, repair coordination, and preventive maintenance, and will perform limited product testing to support quality assurance efforts, while ensuring clear communication across stakeholders and upholding Blacklidge standards in a shared operating environment.
Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for all administrative duties, recordkeeping, and reporting related to terminal operations, including operational, safety, compliance, and cost reporting
·         Oversees and directs inventory control activities
·         Manages incoming product receipts, transfers, and outbound shipments
·         Develops and maintains a hands-on working knowledge of all operational processes and equipment
·         Ensures the terminal and office areas are clean, organized, and maintained in a safe, secure, and hazard-free condition
·         Maintains a working knowledge of product specifications and testing requirements, and coordinates with technical personnel to ensure product quality and consistency
·         Builds and maintains strong working relationships with customers, transportation representatives, and regulatory or agency personnel at the terminal level
·         Enforces safety and environmental programs, including DOT compliance requirements
·         Manages cost control and local purchasing of equipment, raw materials, and supplies to support routine operations, including analysis of cost variances against targets
·         Performs additional duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
·         Experience with terminal operations, including product receipts by truck; emulsions processing experience is a plus, where applicable 
·         Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and environmental compliance requirements, including reporting 
·         Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with suppliers, peers, customers, and company personnel to resolve logistical, operational, reporting, and product quality issues 
·         Solid technical, analytical, and mechanical aptitude, with strong problem-solving capabilities 
·         Proven ability to prioritize tasks, make sound decisions, and implement change effectively 
·         Strong recordkeeping and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail 
·         Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn and utilize operational software systems 
·         Valid driver’s license required

·         Must be available for extended hours and occasional after-hours support as needed
·         Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, and kneeling
·         Capable of working in both office and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions
·         Comfortable working around emulsion products on a regular basis
·         Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. as needed
