Position Description: SalSon Logistics is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to lead and oversee daily terminal operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely movement of goods while managing personnel and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. The Terminal Manager will play a key role in optimizing logistics processes, improving productivity, and meeting customer expectations.A Terminal Manager's day-to-day duties might include tracking shipments, managing inventory, and communicating with customers. They also oversee maintenance on equipment and vehicles, ensuring that everything is in proper working condition. Additionally, they create and analyze reports to identify areas for improvement and recommend changes to increase efficiency.

To be successful in this role, a Terminal Manager must have strong leadership skills and be able to motivate and train their team. They must also have excellent communication skills to effectively manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of a transportation terminal, ensuring efficiency and safety.
Manage and coordinate the scheduling of trucks, drivers, and other staff.
Collaborate with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth business transactions.
Foster a positive and productive work environment for terminal staff.
Monitor performance metrics and develop plans for improvement.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Manage inventory and distribution of goods, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
Conduct regular meetings with staff to provide updates and address any concerns.
Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other partners.
Develop and manage budgets for the terminal.Education / Training • A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent experience.
Work Experience • A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or management, with progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably within a terminal or distribution center environment, is highly desirable.
Job Skills
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems or other relevant software for inventory tracking and reporting.
