Central Transport is currently seeking a Terminal Manager for our facility in Cheshire, CT that is a highly motivated and driven individual on the quest for a challenge. This position is responsible for coordinating the logistics process of freight movement both on a regional and local level. If you love a challenge and are looking for a rewarding career, the Terminal Manager opportunity in Hermon may be right for you.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a transportation, consolidation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
  • High aptitude for technology
  • The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing inbound/outbound freight flow and productivity
  • Provide leadership and accountability to team of drivers
  • Ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) goals are met and/or exceeded
  • Responsible for enforcing and fostering a safe work environment that is compliant with state and federal DOT guidelines
  • Accountability for driving daily work habits to ensure operational model compliance
  • Responsible for managing and driving a culture of excellence in quality of product to our customers
  • Flexibility to work any shift leading team members to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
