Position Summary
Ergon is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Supply and Distribution Coordinator to support the daily coordination of procurement, production, inventory, and logistics activities across our supply chain. This role serves as a critical link between Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales, Customer Service, and external transportation providers to ensure raw materials and finished products are available when and where they are needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the daily flow of raw materials and finished products to support production schedules and customer demand.
  • Partner with Procurement, Production, Logistics, Inventory Control, and Sales to balance supply and demand across the business.
  • Schedule inbound material deliveries and outbound customer shipments using truck, rail, marine, or other transportation modes.
  • Monitor inventory levels across refineries, terminals, and warehouses to ensure product availability and identify potential shortages.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders, sales orders, shipment documentation, and inventory transactions within SAP.
  • Communicate shipment schedules, inventory status, and operational changes with internal stakeholders and external business partners.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries while resolving routine scheduling and logistics issues.
  • Review transportation and inventory data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, cost savings, and service performance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen supply chain processes and enhance the customer experience.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, inventory management, manufacturing, customer service, or a related operations environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across multiple departments.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, refining, chemical, petroleum, or industrial environment.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of transportation, inventory management, procurement, and production planning processes.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional operational activities involving procurement, production, and logistics.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
