Job description

Position Summary: The Dishwasher willย perform a variety of required tasks to support other kitchen personnel to ensure a high-quality guest experience. The position requires cleaning dishes, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resortโ€™s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a team player.
  • Must possess the ability to adapt in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor with guests and teammates at all times.
  • Must be punctual.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for everything involved in the experience of a dining establishment, besides actually cooking the food.
  • Responsible for minor food preparation.ย  ย  ย ย ย  ย ย 
  • Perform a variety of duties and responsibilities every shift.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and have a flexible work style.ย ย 
  • Responsible for making sure all plates, glasses, bowls and silverware are perfectly cleaned between uses.
  • Uses industrial dishwashers followed by hand polishing to remove leftover smudges.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 
  • Makes sure the kitchen and storage areas are kept clean at all times.
  • Clean industrial kitchen appliances, such as stoves, grills, freezers and ovens.
  • Must meet health and safety standards at all times.ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Have a clean and professional appearance at all times by wearing appropriate dress, covering tattoos and maintaining facial hair.ย  ย  ย 
  • Requires the safe use ofย commercial dishwashers,ย glass washers,ย basic culinary tools andย commercial cutlery.
  • Follow and support Service Commitment and Core Values.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to liftย and carry minimum weight of 50 lbs. across short-medium distances.
  • Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping.
  • Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.ย 
  • Must be able to handle manual labor via whisking, chopping, piping, and repetitive hand movements.
  • Must be able to handle manual labor involved with standard kitchen operations.
