Your role:

*Remote Position

Tenable is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our core product engineering team. Focused on designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based, state-of-the-art search solutions on top of our customers' ever-evolving landscape of infrastructure in a scalable way. Be a part of a team to work on implementing and maintaining a highly scalable, highly reliable cloud-native user interface and underlying microservices which utilize modern technologies and programming languages.

Specifically, job duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software features for cloud-based applications and distributed systems. 
  • Contribute to system design and architecture, including evaluating technical solutions, defining technical specifications, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of global cloud infrastructure.
  • Participate in the ongoing development and optimization of distributed systems supporting cybersecurity technologies for enterprise customers.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, and apply relevant advancements to improve system performance and product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, UX Design, and other stakeholders, to define requirements, iterate on product features, and ensure timely delivery of software releases.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues and implement required performance optimizations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or other directly related field of study; Plus 8 years (96 months) of work experience in the job offered or other closely related positions. Experiences may be concurrent.
