Your Role:

Managing a team of three, the Senior Director of Solutions Architecture is a key leadership role at Tenable, responsible for driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution of Tenable's global technology ecosystem. This leader oversees the complete lifecycle of complex platform integrations with strategic partners like AWS, Cisco and ServiceNow, ensuring technical excellence and market readiness. The role requires deep technical knowledge across Tenable's product suite and a proven ability to lead intricate, cross-functional projects with a focus on both strategic product-market fit and hands-on technical execution.
Your Opportunity:

  • Partner Engagement: Serve as the primary technical and strategic leader for highly visible partners.
  • Integration Design: Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of platform integrations across core Tenable products with Partners. Focus on bi-directional data flow, including ingesting third-party asset/network metadata into Tenable. Expertise in leveraging and debugging APIs and understanding best practices for Integrations.
  • Strategic Planning: Document end-to-end integration paths, value propositions, and GTM (Go-To-Market) plans, gaining buy-in from Tenable Leadership.
  • Patch Management: Own architecture, support and lead product management for Tenable Patch Management.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on guidance to partners on advanced integration topics.
  • Compliance & Membership: Manage the technical requirements for key industry memberships, ensuring Tenable meets integration criteria with integration partner requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead and coordinate technical discussions and project resources from multiple internal teams, including Customer Success (CS), Professional Services (PS), Product Management, and Sales (Account Team).
  • Process & Escalation: Define and enforce clear, compliant escalation processes, acting as the exclusive point of contact for external technical vendors to prevent unauthorized direct communication with Tenable customers or other internal teams.
  • Documentation & Contracts: Provide final technical review and guidance on critical legal and contractual documents for technical projects, such as SOWs and vendor contracts.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Solutions Architecture, or Technical Alliances within the Cybersecurity or Enterprise IT industry.
  • Deep Technical Acumen: Expert-level understanding of vulnerability management, cloud security concepts (CSPM), and IT asset data/network metadata
  • API & Integration Expertise: Proven hands-on experience working with and guiding external developers on RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Product Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with Tenable product APIs and the technical architecture of key alliance platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Infoblox, Adaptiva).
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead technical strategy, drive complex projects with minimal supervision, and communicate effectively across a diverse set of technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Experience leading or guiding a team of Principal Technical Product Managers or Solutions Architects.
