Position Type: Temporary Full-Time (12 Hour) 

Position Start date: ASAP 


Opportunity Summary
Associated Ambulance is currently accepting expressions of interest for a Temporary Full-Time Advanced Care Paramedic position based in Sylvan Lake, Alberta.


As the second-largest ambulance operator in the province, Associated Ambulance has proudly served Albertans for over 40 years, delivering both Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) services across 24 rural communities. If you're a Primary Care Paramedic seeking to build or expand your EMS career, we welcome you to join our growing team. 


This permanent position operates on a 12 hour schedule, with a rotation of four (4) days on of two (2) days and two (2) nights, followed by four (4) days off.


As a member of our team, you’ll contribute to our shared commitment to quality care, patient safety, and employee well-being. These priorities align with the Core Values and Strategic Direction of Associated Ambulance and are essential performance expectations in every role.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) program.
  • Active registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACoP) as a ACP.
  • Current Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.
  • Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator’s License with a clean driving abstract (abstract must show no serious traffic safety violations and will be requested).
  • Successful completion of the Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) within six (6) months prior to the start date.
  • Ability to commit fully to the full-time schedule—please disclose any potential conflicts in your Expression of Interest (EOI).
